Cleopatra

A fairly interesting look into the life of Cleopatra.
At times it does read like a list of historical
events, and I do wish Grant did more work to describe
Cleopatra's policies and standing in Ptolemaic Egypt.
That said, Grant does do a good job of relying on a
diversity of primary sources to attempt to glean
historical truth. I'm also not sure I enjoy the
framing of Cleopatra's life stages. It causes the book
to be a bit disjoint and forces focus on Cleopatra's
lovers, instead of her. Still interesting, I did learn
a lot!
