Oof. This is the first book I have reread and logged
since I started tracking my books. Caro is such a
comfort read for me. It is so difficult to put down
his books once I begin, I love his writing style and
reading this in France sated some small degree of
homesickness I was feeling. I'm not sure I have much
new insight from this reread. I will say that the
interview Caro describes between himself and Salas
felt more gripping than before. I could really
empathize with Salas and Caro does such a good job of
conveying the man before him. God even writing this I
want to reread his other stuff. Good LORD.
