Century Rain

We looooove a combination of old-school detective noir 
and science fiction. Love story felt a bit ham-fisted, 
but shined in the world-building (worlds-building? 
It'll make sense when you read it). A very clever way 
to merge the two, and I enjoyed the means by which he 
bridged the varying eras of technology. One of the 
best contemporary scifi authors (in my opinion!)
